On May 29, Team ExMo 6th grade Language Arts students participated in a "coffee house" style poetry reading in the MIS/HPMS library. Parents were invited to attend and enjoyed seeing students perform their poems at a microphone. The audience snapped their fingers in appreciation for the students and their moving work. Afterwards, students snacked on muffins, while parents and grandparents enjoyed a cup of coffee.
Thanks to Language Arts teacher Shannon Taliaferro for providing this opportunity for students to showcase their talent and thoughtful work. Photographs show students in the 1st and 5th period TAG LA classes.
We will post items of interest that discuss gifted education as part of PC-TAG’s mission to develop a stronger awareness of the needs of gifted children and to strengthen the network of support for parents.
