Resources for HPISD Students and Families

TAG Math Track

If you are interested in learning more about Math Placements and Math Sequence Options for MIS/HPMS and the transition to HPHS, this information covers frequently asked questions about Math acceleration, Math 6/7, Math 7/8, Algebra 1 and the sequence of mathematics in HPISD. Students in TAG math must first be identified through TAG testing to be placed in TAG Math. We hope this information will be helpful in addressing any questions you may have about the math track, particularly in the transition from 6th to 7th grade. CLICK HERE for details on options for Math Acceleration for TAG Students.

5th Grade TAG Parent Information

Each year, shortly after school starts, MIS Explorations teacher Caroline Winfield and HPISD TAG Coordinator Ericca Vandagriff present a 5th Grade Parent Information Session to explain TAG services offered at MIS/HPMS. Ms. Winfield and Ms. Vandagriff are happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
