In honor of Earth Day, on Friday April 22nd, PC TAG elementary students enjoyed an incredible STEAM program that features TREES! Students gained hands-on academic enrichment in science, ecology, soil science, recycling, and expressive art as they explored their roles as stewards of our Earth's precious environment.
Students had 90 minutes to complete various activities including building recycled planters, measuring and calculating weight of trees, learning how to protect our ecosystem and understanding mycorrhizal networks. The event was sponsored by Park Cities Talented and Gifted (PC-TAG), an organization dedicated to advocating for talented and gifted children in the Highland Park Independent School District. PC-TAG strives to enhance the educational experience for talented and gifted students throughout the district. To see upcoming events, visit PC-TAG Programs Page.
