In an extraordinary debut, PC-TAG proudly raised $4,500 during our first-ever participation in NTX Giving Day, dedicated to fostering creativity, innovation, and fun in the classroom. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering support of our community, the dedication of our volunteers, and the generosity of our donors. With these funds, we are poised to spark unique classroom enrichment programs, providing students with opportunities to explore their creative potential and engage in innovative learning experiences. We can't wait to see the positive impact these initiatives will have, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this success possible!
We are thrilled to announce that this year, PC TAG is participating in North Texas Giving Day for the very first time! This exciting event is just around the corner, and we couldn't be more enthusiastic about the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
North Texas Giving Day is an annual extravaganza of generosity, where thousands of individuals come together to support local nonprofits and causes they are passionate about. It's a day when the North Texas community unites to create a brighter future for all. And we're proud to be a part of it. At PC TAG, our mission has always been to support and enhance the educational experience of our talented and gifted students. We're dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community, creating enriching opportunities, and providing resources that empower both our students and parents. By participating in NTX Giving Day, we're taking another step toward fulfilling that mission. Here's how you can join us in making this inaugural NTX Giving Day a success:
As we embark on this exciting journey with NTX Giving Day, we invite you to be a part of the magic. Together, we can make our inaugural participation memorable, create positive change for our talented and gifted students, and show the world the strength of the PC-TAG community. Thank you for your continued support, and let's make NTX Giving Day 2023 one to remember! We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended our annual PC-TAG Welcome Coffee. Your presence and support truly made this event a resounding success, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the turnout. A Special Thanks to Our Guest Speakers! We were fortunate to have Ericca Vandagriff, Director of TAG Services and Curriculum Specialist and Amy Wood, Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Learning join us. They answered questions and shared insights and valuable information with parents. Once again, thank you to everyone who attended our annual Welcome Coffee. We look forward to the continued growth and success of PC-TAG as we work together to support our gifted students and their teachers. Kicking Off the School Year Right! PC-TAG celebrated with a heartwarming "Breakfast in Bed" event for our amazing high school teachers and staff. On the eve of National Relaxation Day, we treated them to tranquility, humor, and a quick breakfast to gear up for the year ahead. We're thankful for our dedicated educators who shape futures with passion and care. Here's to a fantastic school year filled with joy, growth, and success!
We recently hosted our final PC-TAG board meeting of the year. We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our outgoing board members for their exceptional dedication and service. Their contributions have undoubtedly made a significant impact on the PC-TAG community. Simultaneously, we welcomed our incoming board members and are excited about their enthusiasm and diverse experiences, which promise to further elevate PC-TAG's mission. HPISD's new superintendent, Dr. Mike Rockwood stopped by to visit with parents. The board meeting was a testament to the collaborative spirit and shared commitment to educational excellence within the community, setting the stage for a promising and rewarding year ahead.
We are thrilled to announce that Kevin Finn has been named the PC-TAG Teacher of the Year! Mr. Finn is a dedicated teacher at Highland Park High School, and we are honored to recognize him for his outstanding contributions! Mr. Finn's passion for teaching is evident in his commitment to creating engaging and challenging lessons that encourage students to think critically and creatively. He is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that his students have the resources and support they need to succeed. We want to extend our sincerest congratulations to Mr. Finn for being named the PC-TAG Teacher of the Year. We are grateful for his dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to our students. Congratulations, Mr. Finn! This past weekend, PC-TAG hosted a meetup for incoming 5th graders at the McCulloch playground. The event was a huge success, with lots of fun activities and games for the kids to enjoy. The meetup was a great way for incoming 5th graders to get to know each other and have some fun before the school year begins. The kids were able to play games, chat with each other, and get to know some of the PC-TAG members who were there to supervise and facilitate the activities. |
