PC-TAG is proud to support classroom resources like Algeblocks, which have proven to be a powerful tool in helping our middle school students learn algebra in a hands-on and engaging way.
For those who are unfamiliar, Algeblocks are a unique and innovative tool that allows students to visually represent algebraic concepts and explore mathematical ideas in a tangible way. With their vibrant colors and unique shapes, Algeblocks help to demystify the complexities of algebra and empower students to build a strong foundation for further mathematical learning. Donations to PC-TAG help to fund resources like Algeblocks, along with technology and teacher training for gifted students. Because many of these resources are used by all students throughout the school, your support helps us to enrich the learning environment for all students, regardless of their abilities or background. At PC-TAG, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential. By supporting us, you help us to provide opportunities for growth and academic achievement to our students. We're grateful for the support of our donors and community members, and we're committed to continuing to provide innovative resources and opportunities that help our students unlock their full potential. Thank you for helping us to support student learning and academic achievement! Parent Event: One Up Consulting and Hola! HP Bring Expertise to College Admissions and Preparation2/23/2023

The UTD Chess Club provided expert guidance and instruction, making the event accessible to all skill levels. We're thrilled to have partnered with the UTD Chess Club and appreciate their efforts in making this event a success. We look forward to partnering with the UTD Chess Club again in the future to continue promoting critical thinking skills and problem-solving through the game of chess. Recently, PC-TAG hosted a "What I Wish I Knew" Parent Panel for parents of Highland Park High School students. The event provided an opportunity for parents to discuss various topics related to their children's education and experiences, including TAG, PreAP, and AP classes, extracurricular activities, the middle/high school curriculum, GPA, college admissions, freshman experiences, and more.
Parents shared their personal experiences and insights about what they wish they had known before their children entered high school. They also answered questions from other parents, providing valuable information and advice. The event was a great opportunity for parents to connect with each other, learn from their experiences, and gain valuable insights into the high school experience. ![]() On National Trivia Day, PC-TAG hosted a breakfast event for the hardworking teachers at MIS/HPMS. The event was held in the flex space across from the 7/8 A/R, and we invited all teachers to swing by and test their knowledge with some fun trivia games. The morning started off with a delicious breakfast spread and as teachers enjoyed their meal, we asked silly trivia questions throughout the morning. From random facts to pop culture references, the questions covered a wide range of topics and kept everyone entertained and engaged. We hope that everyone left the breakfast with a smile on their face and a new silly fact to share with their students. We want to give a big thank you to all the teachers who stopped by to participate in our National Trivia Day event. We hope you had a great time and enjoyed the breakfast and games. And for those who couldn't make it, we hope to see you at our next event! As we continue into the new year, let's remember to show our support and appreciation for the hardworking teachers in our community. Whether it's through fun events like this silly trivia breakfast or simple words of thanks and encouragement, our teachers deserve all the recognition and support we can give them. |
